London Craft Week 2020
wagumi will again offer workshops in Japanese crafts for LCW. This year will see the return of popular workshops in kintsugi, a method of mending ceramics with lacquer and metal powder. New for 2020, will be an opportunity to make Japanese style incense.
*Note on Covid19*
The workshops we are organising for London Craft Week will be held in accordance with government guidance, and Covid security policy at wagumi.
This includes the new six person rule active from 14 September.
We will use a unit in addition to our normal one in the Oxo Tower to create more space for the workshops, and no participants from different households will be sat in proximity to one another. We will have perspex sheets, and of course, wagumi staff, will wear masks, and regularly sanitise their hands. All tools used in the workshops will be sanitised before and after use. We will ventilate the room, and ensure an air flow.
We ask that participants do not attend if they feel unwell, or are required to self-isolate, and will provide refunds to those in these circumstances. We also ask that all participants wear masks, and will provide masks for anyone unable to bring one with them. We will also provide disposable gloves (as we would in any case for kintsugi). For the purpose of contact tracing we will retain the contact details provided by participants for a period after the workshops.
The safety of customers and staff at wagumi is our absolute priority.
