KOPPA Chopsticks Workshop LDF2025

We will hold chopstick making workshops with Koppa / Shintaro Oku in September 2025.

Koppa makes items in wood craft in Kagoshima, south Japan, and will share some of his techniques at the workshops.

The content aims to be simple and accessible across age groups, and with the opportunity to take home hand finished chopstick sets at the completion of the sessions.

The workshops are aimed at three age groups, and will take place in the Oxo Tower gallery (on the floor below wagumi):

1 Younger children (ages 3-6）
-> Involves sanding and polishing

2.  Older children (ages 7-12）
-> Involves simple plaining and sanding.

3.  Adults
-> Involves the full process

The workshops for children will take place on 13-14 September, and the workshops for adults on 14-15 September.

Adults accompanying children are free to observe and take part.

There are four time slots on each day, with each workshop lasting an hour.
