[Atelier Densan] Mt Fuji and Sakura formed Rocks Glass by Tajima Glass

This rocks glass (a short patterned glass for spirits) is made in an Edo glass style by traditional maker Tajima Glass.   Nothing is more evocative of its homeland than the classic mountain at its base, or the sakura pattern work.

It is 9.5cm high and 9cm in diameter.

About Edo Glass / Edo Kiriko

Glass manufacture in Tokyo has its origins in the 19th century, and the importation of western styles.  At this time the capital was still known under its former name of Edo.  The new industrial techniques were paired with a Japanese ethos of craft, and quality, to create a tradition that continues today in decorative and cut glass.

Care Instructions

Ideal for chilled drinks ‘on the rocks.’  The glass is not microwave or dishwasher safe, and should not be used with very hots drinks.
