Giran Sagawa is an Ibaraki based slipware potter.

Part of a recent movement in Japanese pottery, captivated and inspired by pre-industrial era British slipware from the Staffordshire Potteries, GiranSagawa brings his own innovations and ideas. At times almost graffiti like in his application of slip, his work also has a pleasing geometry.

Sagawa works from his recently established Edobou kiln.
