Japanese style surikogi pestles to accompany Oujigama's mortar series.

Sourced locally to the kiln, surikogi are traditionally made from the wood of sansho pepper trees, which is suited to the task, and imparts a slight flavour when used to grind.

These are a medium size: around 16cm long, and 2cm in diameter.  They weigh around 38g.

As handmade, natural items there are differences between them.
