About wholesale
Originally from New Zealand, long term Okinawa resident Paul Lorimer is in some ways its most traditional potter. His work focusses on its base material: the clay found on the Okinawan islands. The search for good clay is a constant preoccupation. It can be found in construction sites, or in locations of varying accessibility. But the results of this search, thrown and then fired in a self constructed anagama kiln, make it worthwhile.
These small dipping plates, are simply decorated with the fired impurities in the clay chosen by Lorimer, visible on their surface. As such, unique artefacts of nature, they can be used to present food or as miniature storage.
