About wholesale
This Hōji-cha was farmed and made by Yamaguchi Tea in the Satsuma region of Kagoshima.
Hōji-cha is roasted green tea that is naturally low in caffeine. Brown in the cup and with a slightly nutty taste, it is fragrant and refreshing. It can be brewed hot at 100 degrees, or cold brewed in the fridge. It is an excellent option when not wishing to be caffeinated, or the makers suggest, as a mixer with the Kagoshiman spirit of shochu.
Yamaguchi Tea’s Hōji-cha is roasted to produce a mild and refreshing taste. This pack contains ten, 3g tea bags.
About Yamaguchi Tea
Farming tea in the Satsuma region of Kagoshima since 1978, the family run Yamaguchi Tea business made the decision in the early 1990s to switch to organic farming. Satsuma is blessed with warm currents and long days of sunshine, supporting a healthy tea crop. But even so, to farm as an organic tea pioneer created numerous challenges. The fruit of the family’s persistence is stable, healthy and tasty teas. Included in this selection on the recommendation of the ceramicist Kaori Sasaki (Nohara-ya), Yamaguchi Tea provide the brews that she makes in her ceramic tea ware.
