Educational Origami 11.8cm Size by Toyo

An origami standard, the Toyo series of simple sheets for practice folding has been in continuous production since 1954.

The font and other aspects of the cover design still recall the mid-century feel of a Yasujiro Ozu or Mikio Naruse film, and nothing has been messed with in the presentation of the product.

Contained are 43 sheets of 11.8cm x 11.8cm paper in 27 colours. One among the sheets is silver, and another is gold - and these can be saved for your finest folding creations.

There are slightly impenetrable Japanese instructions inside for nine different origami patterns, and this is perhaps part of the educational process.

Easier to understand instructions can be found elsewhere, and as the front of the pack reminds: origami encourages creativity and modal dexterity.

The sheets are manufactured in Japan, at the Toyo family firm’s dedicated print works.

The firm recommends that the sheets are suitable of children of 3 years and over.
