About wholesale
£23.00
This brush is made from shuro palm sheath at the Nagaike Mingeiten shop. It is hard to imagine a more naturally produced brush than this, and the maker includes a partially handwritten note asking anyone to let him know if they ever see one like it. Nagaike Mingeiten is in the old centre of the town of Uchiko in the Ehime interior, and works in the Iyo Hōki tradition. Assembled by hand using locally sourced bamboo and palm tree material, the brush also has tie so it can be hung up.
The note from the maker is written out in Japanese, and includes typed English translation. There are care instructions, and advise that the brush is "good for Buddhist alters or keyboard of the PC and etc."
It weighs around 40g.
22ccm x 10cm, 2cm(thick)
