Oita on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu is known for its craft heritage in bamboo.
Locally based artist Sayaka Kawai works in the material for her Goro Home brand.

These bamboo baskets, are for pin cushions, and a made individually by hand by Kawai.

They are 6cm in diameter, and 4.5cm high.
