These handkerchief size towels were made by Top Factory Imabari in their weave works in the town of Imabari.
Imabari in Ehime is a hub of innovation, and quality in towels. The many small and medium size businesses in the region each plough a niche in their soft materials, and seek to engineer and create ever more satisfying towels to use.
An Imabari staple since the 1950s, Top Factory Imabari was reborn recently under its current name. While retaining the quality that Imabari is known for, the company has refreshed the ideas behind is towels. There are new patterns, and innovation in sub-genres, such as towels for pillows. The firm has also restated its commitment to its employees, and the region they live in.
These towels are 25cm x 25cm, and are made with the hot Japanese summer in mind. But they are handy in any context, and feature bright and attractively rendered versions of classic Japanese patterns. They fit in a pocket, and appear when you need them.
