These Magnolia cups have a dipped, snow-like glaze over a sculpted lower form. The upper glaze runs in dripped lines into the carved ridges beneath.Mishio Suzuki was inspired initially by German and European product design. But by travelling in Europe she came to appreciate more the pottery tradition in her own region of Kasama in Japan.Carrying with her the diverse range of influences she acquired, Suzuki trained with the Kasama master potter Akio Nukaga, before establishing her own kiln in 2006.These cups are 6cm high, with a diameter of 7.5cm. They weigh 150g.Beneath the white upper, they have soft blue glaze colour.
