Fine Powdered Brown Sugar by Shinryo

Made from Okinawan cane sugar, this has been processed into an easy to use powder. It brings a dash of Okinawan sunshine to coffee or cookery. The makers recommend its use to lift the taste of a curry, in pancakes, in teriyaki sauce, or simply in a hot drink.

Based in Uruma on the main island of Okinawa, the Shinryō company produce and process brown sugar. They emphasise the health benefits, but also the taste of naturally grown Okinawan sugar. The name Shinryō means a bridge between ports, and reflects Okinawa’s historic status as a trusted trading centre within Asia. With this spirit, Shinryō wishes to introduce the goodness of Okinawa to the world.
