About Mishio Suzuki

Mishio Suzuki is a potter based near Kasama, a town known for its ceramic history north of Tokyo.__Suzuki was inspired initially by German and European product design.__But by travelling in Europe she came to appreciate more the pottery tradition in her own region of Kasama. __Carrying with her the diverse range of influences she acquired, Suzuki trained with the Kasama master potter Akio Nukaga, before establishing her own kiln in 2006. ____Her pieces balance a sense of nature, with a modern elegance.
