Based in the Arakawa district of Tokyo, the small Nagasawa metalworks is known for its work in making hammer finished teapots of delicate form. The skills have been passed down from their founder Kinjiro Nagasawa to the present today. Each pot is completed by the workshop’s craftspeople using a selection of hammers. The even heat distribution within the copper pot allows too, for a superior cup of tea. Loved over decades, the workshop still receives pots made in previous generations for repair, as long life companions.
