Mishio Suzuki

Mishio Suzuki is a potter based near Kasama, a town known for its ceramic history north of Tokyo.

Mishio Suzuki was inspired initially by German and European product design. But by travelling in Europe she came to appreciate more the pottery tradition in her own region of Kasama.

Carrying with her the diverse range of influences she acquired, Suzuki trained with the Kasama master potter Akio Nukaga, before establishing her own kiln in 2006.
